Audi R8 Spark Eight Eisenmann

Audi R8Eisenmann has long been the acme of superior performance exhaust systems. For the first time the exhaust specialist has transformed an entire vehicle. The highest standards, which are hallmarks of Eisenmann, also apply to the carbon aerodynamic package, the alloy wheels, the chassis, and of course the exhaust system. This converts the Audi R8 into the Spark Eight by Eisenmann.

Not only does the aerodynamic package contribute to its ultimate visual effect, it also improves the functionality of the super sports car from Ingolstadt. The components significantly improve the driving dynamics and the load distribution between front and rear axle. The new carbon outfit includes the spoiler with grille and fins (7800 Euro including VAT), the brake cooling chambers (1260 Euro), the front splitter (1800 Euro), the rear spoiler with grille (4800 Euro), and the rear diffuser (3800 Euro).
Audi R8It goes without saying that exhaust systems are the domain of Eisenmann. The Spark Eight by Eisenmann is fitted with a performance stainless steal system, with a gigantic tailpipe exit in the center of the rear spoiler (4600 Euro). This warrants a one-of-a-kind visual effect. Thanks to the flap control system, sound and optimal performance can be controlled with the push of a button. As an alternative Eisenmann offers an exhaust system with four stainless steel tailpipes (3800 Euro) that can be combined with the standard rear spoiler. The retro-classic intake funnel (1200 Euro) and the two oval tailpipes (1000 Euro) provide the look of the R10.

Audi R8Eisenmann also ensures that the improved chassis matches the upgrade of visual effect and sound. The new shock absorbers with four performance springs (3850 Euro) increase the driving dynamic for even more agile handling characteristics. The 235/35 (front) and 315/30 (rear) tyres mounted on 8.5×19 inch alloy wheels ensure a solid grip (complete set available for 7300 Euro).

For the Spark Eight by Eisenmann, visual appearance, sound and performance enter into a perfect symbiosis. All of the above is based on experience Eisenmann has amassed in motoring. Many years of research and development for racetracks and motorways alike have merged into an unrivaled project.

Jaguar RSR XKR GT 2010

The new JaguarRSR racing car makes its European debut this week at the 2010 Autosport International at the NEC in Birmingham, UK. It is the first and only chance for the public to see the stunning new XKR GT in the metal before it heads back to the US to compete in the entire 2010 American Le Mans Series (ALMS) in North America.
GT racing legend Paul Gentilozzi is taking a break from a gruelling development programme to feature the XKR in the largest dedicated trade motorsport exhibition in Europe. The JaguarRSR XKR GT will be on display at the Jaguar stand alongside a production model XKR, XFR, and the fastest Jaguar ever – the Bonneville XFR prototype, which Paul drove to 225.675 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats in 2008.

The RSR Jaguar XKR GT uses the standard Jaguar XKR lightweight aluminium monocoque together with additional steel reinforcements and safety structure developed by RSR. The 5.0-litre V-8 engine boasts 550 horsepower at 7000 rpm and a maximum speed of 180mph.

Infiniti M35h 2011

The Infiniti M35h, will introduce world-first steering and braking technologies when it goes on sale in the USA and Europe in 2011. Like the drivetrain, which marries a charismatic V6 petrol engine with 50 kW (68 PS) electric motor built in to the 7-speed automatic transmission, simplicity was a key tenet in the development of the steering and brakes of the high performance luxury sedan.

Yet when the driver demands it the Infiniti M35h responds like a true high performance machine, offering the linear acceleration and unsullied rear-drive handling of a true Infiniti – complete with all the charisma of one of the great V6 petrol engines. Like the 7-speed Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) automatic transmission that blips the throttle on downchanges, the new braking and steering technologies are integral to the Infiniti M35h’s positioning as the hybrid to please the most demanding of drivers.

The vehicle, dubbed the “R15 plus” has been able to maintain the output of its 5.5 liter V12 engine ( over 620 hp), despite the tougher regulations. In addition, the aerodynamics were revised and trimmed to improve its speed. The radiator package was repositioned and the cockpit now offers improved ergonomics. Racing at night for this racecar is not a problem since it uses additional LED lights borrowed from the R8 supercar. The R15 plus has passed several tests covering over 40,000 kilometers since March 2010. These sessions include two endurance runs of 30 hours each and aerodynamic test performed in the wind tunnel. The racecar also went through tracks and airfields simulations on an artificially dirtied race track. Its radiators were also tested on how they would face soiling. Furthermore, it underwent two test races in the Le Mans Series at Le Castellet and Spa-Francorchamps and a final test in Southern France at the end of May.

Bmw Planning Megacity EV Sports CarHe said that the Megacity, which will go on sale in 2013, won’t be limited to “just one format.” He added that the radical Vision EfficientDynamics sports car concept displayed last year at the Frankfurt Show hints at the likelihood of a pure electric sports car, even if a final production version would be different. Robertson confirmed that BMW’s first mass produced electric car will wear a BMW badge and won’t be sold under a separate brand. When asked about the name for the vehicle, Roberson said that they have yet to finalize it but that they aim for it to be a “strong sub-brand” similar to the M. BMW has aggressive weight targets for the Megacity, which will be built mainly from carbonfiber. About 30% of the weight is shaved off when using carbonfiber as opposed to an equivalent aluminum car, which in turn is usually 30% lighter than a steel bodied car. It’s probable that the Megacity won’t come cheap, in light of the high cost of development and low sales targets.
Bmw Planning Megacity EV Sports CarIn a statement last Friday, SMMT CEO Paul Everitt said that May was a good month for the UK new car market but that the upcoming months are expected to be “extremely challenging.” On June 22, the coalition government will present an emergency budget. Car registrations in May increased to 153,095 units — the 11th consecutive monthly rise. For the month of May, the Ford Focus compact was UK’s top-selling model, trailed by the Vauxhall Astra compact and Ford’s Fiesta subcompact. So far, sales in the year are 22% ahead of last year, but the SMMT is predicting a drop of 3.6% to 1.92 million vehicles for the entire year of 2010. The market is currently benefiting from the runout of a scrapping scheme that has ended. A closer look of the May market tells us that the incentive scheme only accounted for 2.7%, against an average of 17% since it was launched in May 2009.
